Lisa Kelly’s Endorsement
“Katherine Gallagher proves yet again that she is a poet who has deep sympathy for all aspects of nature in its riotous abundance and disorder at a time of climate change and threat to species, these vivid and tender poems remind us of what we stand to lose. Gardens, forests. lakes, rivers, mountains, animals birds and insects assert themselves with bravado and zest in Gallagher’s appreciation of nature’s tapestry. In conversation with poets from the past who understood the power of nature, Gallagher leaves the reader reinvigorated to take more notice of their environment and appreciate its gifts.”
